First four are in the brooder. They've figuring out the drinker already. I put a few drops of coconut vinegar in, which they seem to like. Is it too early to offer food?

Agree! We feed our flock fermented feed and wet crumble for the chicks. They'll get grit once they're out of the neonatal unitAdorable! You can put crumbles out any time. When they're ready they'll eat them. I like to mix un-chlorinated water in with it, it's easy for them to eat and they don't kick it out of the feeder so easily. All my birds love wet feed actually. The only no-no is people food (like fruit or veggies) for now. When you do, they need grit first.

I do a slightly different form of FF using probiotic/lactobacillus/effective microorganisms (many names for the same thing). By adding it to the wet feed it pre-digests it like FF without the mess and odor. I just mix it a day or two before I feed it.
Do you have 2 dozen eggs hatching? That's a lot of fluff and sweetness!
Well, I am still downsizing, so I am not planning on hatching for awhile yet for myself. If I had enough interest in chicks, I could run a batch if I had buyers for the straight run chicks. Anyone else interested? I'd sell the chicks at $5.00 each......
