Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

R.I.P our little ray of sunshine- Sadly my little Frizzle needed to be put down.My fiancée had a hard time with the thought as well, being she was such a great little social butterfly- but it was best she didn't suffer no more than what she had. It's not the same now knowing she won't be there to greet at the door. I shed my tears and know she's in a better place.

@Lil Go Peep
And how old are you now? I'm 21. We were practically neighbors. I was born in redwood city and I grew up in San Jose too, on the west side, ******* Campbell. I lived behind the water company on bascom, down the street from theprune yard and the giant white boat car wash. California has sucked and will always suck. It's the people, honestly.
@Chickielady
that includes you too
They can get the **** away from our water. They'll waste it all on their front lawns.

I was born in Seattle, but raised in Hayward Cal, I remember all the apricot orchards too…everyone on the street had a couple in their back yards. I miss them, i just don't have the touch to have them where i live and it really is too cold….darn.
All those millions of acres of FOOD bulldozed to build tract homes. it is so sad & really needs to stop.
Especially in rural places inappropriate for homes, like the Tornado Alley, which is far better off just being farm land, yet folks keep rebuilding there !

My parents remember when everything was orchards- for sure not no more- it's even grown since we moved. They added more business along Winchester Ave and in downtown Campbell - its changed a lot since I was a kid- def not the same anymore - crime went way up even during the day houses were being broke into. School I went to son did as well, but when he went the gang fights were horrible to the point cops had to patrol the area each day- it was time to get out- his choice of high school changed even- I went to Westmont, they changed the borders and he would had to go to Del Mar which is mostly Gangs and trouble

Now we live off of Firetrail where it's somewhat quiet, no town life - which is how I like it

We all (family) went to Westmont, too.
It was about 4 years old back then, a brand new school.
We had alot of Chicanos back then, and we all got along.
Most of my friends were Chicanos or dating Chicanos.
But East San Jose (Santa Teresa) things were different back then.
Not bad, not crime at all...we left doors & windows unlocked.
Sometimes a 8-track tape deck or CB got stolen around the 80s it got way worse.
People need to evolve !!!
