Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Beautiful birds.

If you don't find a home for them, I know a guy in Seattle that will take them and process them. Very nice fellow and they will not be abused or used for fighting. He prefers to get them before 20 weeks. If you want his contact info, let me know.
Thank you. I know it may come to that, but for now I'm going to keep trying to find a place for these lovely boys.

Anyone on the eastside of Seattle looking to rehome a full size rooster? My beautiful Ameraucana rooster was killed yesterday protecting the girls.

I don't have a full sized but I have a Houdan that is 8 weeks and definitely exhibiting his rooster traits. I'm in Everett.

Oh thank you! I just saw their post now... But looks like they might be too far from me.

Is Bremerton too far for you? I've never posted before but I came here looking to get some ideas of where to rehome a few "sexed as pullet" cockerels... They're not allowed in town!
ETA: oh, oops. I just saw that you wanted older roosters. My boys are only 13 weeks. Nevermind!

Thank you for the offer. I just looked up that breed and wow, they look really fancy with that hairdo! Never heard of them before. We get a lot of predators out here and not sure he would do well because of his hair... Also I'm looking for an older roo. I'm in touch with a lady nearby who might be rehoming her older roo.

Hi Washingtonians!

My wife and I relocated from West Seattle to the Kitsap Peninsula in June. We are homesteading on 5 acres with 3 other folks and obviously already have a chicken flock going. I'm writing a blog on our experience, which you can check out--http://kitsappermaculture.blogspot.com/.

We got our first flock from Wilco in Gig Harbor, but I would prefer to use another more direct source for our second flock we'll start this spring. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Look for local breeders via Craigslist, also by joining the FB groups like The Roost and Pacific Northwest Poultry Sales. I know that Viking Feed in Kingston carries both hatchery and local breeders chicks.
