Just to let folks in Kitsap county, the mushroom experts are having a show at Kitsap county fair grounds Oct 18 1-5 pm. They can id mushrooms if you bring the whole thing, roots and all.

Thank you. I know it may come to that, but for now I'm going to keep trying to find a place for these lovely boys.Beautiful birds.
If you don't find a home for them, I know a guy in Seattle that will take them and process them. Very nice fellow and they will not be abused or used for fighting. He prefers to get them before 20 weeks. If you want his contact info, let me know.
Anyone on the eastside of Seattle looking to rehome a full size rooster? My beautiful Ameraucana rooster was killed yesterday protecting the girls.![]()
Oh thank you! I just saw their post now... But looks like they might be too far from me.
I don't have a full sized but I have a Houdan that is 8 weeks and definitely exhibiting his rooster traits. I'm in Everett.
Is Bremerton too far for you? I've never posted before but I came here looking to get some ideas of where to rehome a few "sexed as pullet" cockerels... They're not allowed in town!
ETA: oh, oops. I just saw that you wanted older roosters. My boys are only 13 weeks. Nevermind!
Hi Washingtonians!
My wife and I relocated from West Seattle to the Kitsap Peninsula in June. We are homesteading on 5 acres with 3 other folks and obviously already have a chicken flock going. I'm writing a blog on our experience, which you can check out--http://kitsappermaculture.blogspot.com/.
We got our first flock from Wilco in Gig Harbor, but I would prefer to use another more direct source for our second flock we'll start this spring. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
It is a very interesting looking coop, I would like to see more pictures of it!
What the H*** is happening to my duck?![]()
