my eggs are hatching. .and power is out.. I got them plugged into the truck.
Boy I sure am getting nervous about these power outrages with my eggs so close to hatching!
I hope both of your hatches end up okay!

Geez that was some crazy storm... I was on egg shells all day watching the trees sway and the lights flickering! And just like that it seems to have dissipated... At least here... Everyone ok?
I hope both of your hatches end up okay!
High tide this morning, too. Almost thought we would wash away. Power went out at work so went home to shore up tarps, etc. Here are some girls enjoying the dry dirt under my shed. The only dry place in the yard!![]()
We're okay here. A transformer blew up right above my husband's car, and they shut down a couple main roads because of power lines which caused school buses to cancel their routes (after school). Now it's clear, calm, and frozen.
OMG How cute!! Congratulations!!!
yippee I am sure they have hatched by now...I been offline a few days...Congrats !A few of my Silkie eggs have pips!![]()
HenKat....is there any way you can get the water stopped from leaking--turn it off, reroute it, wrap the pipes??? That would probably help in keeping the run dry the most. My chickens don't seem to care and will be out in the open air of their run, rain or shine.
Chickielady...thanks for asking. I'm walking pretty good now, though, the stairs can still cause me some trouble and other times, I'll walk with a waddle if I'm tired. The leg is healing pretty good and the incision doesn't bother much at all.
I am so bummed right now. When we went to eastern Oregon a few weeks back, I bought me some Salted Peanut Rolls...12 as a matter of fact so I could eat one each month until next year's hunting season when we'll go back and I'll buy some more). ..I can't find them anywhere up here in the PNW. They are like Planters Peanut Bar (I don't even know its real name) only better. Well, I ate one in October and. now, I want to eat one on my birthday but I put them away some where in my office and I can't remember where I put them.![]()

I have heard of locking down your badly messed up air cell eggs , air cell up in a egg carton rather than laying them on their sides.Have you folks every heard about going into lockdown early to help with messed up saddle air sacs?
