Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So sorry you have to let her go. I feel for you. I had to rehome my Australorp Maxine last year.  I still think of her and miss her.

If you are close enough, I'm in Arkansas.
Mine are free range except for their isolation period. When I get new chickens, I don't like mixing them for awhile... a couple weeks at least..
I buy and sell some chickens but not my mongrals as they are more like pets.. That is where duck would go after her isolation period.
I may sell their chicks when hatched because they lay well..

I brought our dog into the coop to get them friendly (with hubby). She does great with the chickens now. I may disagree with her methods of bringing the chickens back to the yard, but it's effective.

Hope the bird is ok...?

I trained, raised and showed dogs all my life akc obedience was all I did and knew not so much anymore we have the one little
pom x chihuahua who thinks they food but he is only 5 lbs about 4 now, Moose is our service dog flunk-out Labrador he would try to play
with them. Raudy is a corgi x shelti he and our Fear Shepard rescue will only try to herd them.
My friend will bring Moose in tomorrow on a leash

We are both pretty fortunate to have Labradors with soft mouths that way

I need to get on here more! It took an hour of reading to catch up!

Why can't it be summer yet? Everything is all puddles and mud here by Westport.

My poor birds are confused this week. My lavender orp and some of my turkeys decided it's time to molt... I was so panicked when I saw all the feathers! I thought the local bald eagle got one of my turkeys... Nope! Just decided she needs a new outfit and is done laying eggs for a bit!
Its about time !
How are the mud chickens ?

Jack has chased wayward chickens down & pins them to the ground, but does not bite them.
My black lab would carry them back to me, all slobbery and of course the chickens would be limp with fear....but unharmed.
