I did the same sort of I raised 5 barreds, 2 rode island reds, 7 or 8 light brahmas
all pullets. One was lost when it got in wire broke a leg the others walked all over it.
and bought 3 more later. The reds seemed pesky they would kick the shavings
out of all the nesting boxes bug the others in the nesting boxes..
I gave them away.. this spring I sold all 9 brahamas buying 16 barred pullets
and three Easter egger pullets for color.. now I chose to give away
4 barred pullets to add 4 more easter eggers. I like to keep even numbers
for some odd reason.
We currently have 2 black English orpingtons (love the fluffy) two lavender orpingtons, one Chocolate orp/legbar mix (blue eggs) sex linked, an two blue laced red wyandotte one is splash. We hope to be able to widdle it down to 4, one of the blacks is looking like a roo.
