Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

i dont know I like being able to add color now I know what the barreds will
do, the ee from you melded in so nice have the coop peaceful no pecking
or picking on each other even the two smallest barreds are safe

Faverolles and Sussex are on my 'chicken bucket list', too.

Two years ago I had only heard of Road Island reds. I didn't even know what kind of chickens I bought, I had to ask the clerk and then I wrote it down and went home and looked it up. And I knew eggs came in white and brown. Now I have six different breeds and keep finding more that I want.
I think this is higher-level chicken math :)

oh maybe could be to early to tell

Hi all,
Has anyone given "Country Companion" layer feed a try
pop.gif
?
I saw them at Coastal Farm & Ranch the last 2 months. $12.99 for 50lbs.
My ducks are currently on Nutrena and they are doing pretty good on that.
Has anyone done any comparisons? Purina is on sale now too. $10.99 for 40lbs.
My ducks just started to lay again and I don't want to mess things up for them.

So far my ranking on what my ducks like is :
Nutrena #1

and
Purina #2,

just from the number of eggs I get, but it could just be my imagination.

or me forgetting to feed them.

Hi everyone I am new to the BYC and raising chickens but I live in the parkland area. I just got my first chicks yesterday and am so excited.

on another note I am sorry Penny about your mom. My grandmother is going through pretty much the same thing. every couple days we have to remind her who we are and who are children belong to. she calls my daughter her little sister all the time. before the dementia got bad and we didnt even know she did though she started giving all of her things away. it was so hard for us to see her just give her possessions away.

I've been feeding it to my large chickens the last few months. No issues with lowered egg production (which has happened with other feeds I've tried). I actually haven't noticed any difference and I've been watching.
