Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

me either when it is such a work but used it heavily in business and life in general
still do... really did not mean it as a slam I love her photo's almost makes me want a silkie

Wasn't even thought of as a slam. After I learned that silkies can be very easily posed (unlike the big girls), I very much enjoyed taking their pictures.

Ashes is going to be upset. I got props and little clips to sew on the hat. More Christmas pictures soon

Years ago I did stories for a magazine along with photos living in Juneau

Quote: I have a box full of them unfortunately the box was spilled so they are not in order anymore

I have my fingers crossed that I can find a bird or two at the WFF show this coming Saturday
what type of chick another Silkie? where is this show going to be

Who did you get your Silvers from? :drool . They are on my dream list... I need to get my Wheaties going first. But if I ever have more room, Silvers are top on my want list.

I just got 2yards of wood chips and shoveled them into the chicken run. I really like it so far, their feet are all clean and the run is dry. They were in a poop soup after all that rain.

I thought I told you all about them already ?

Nope, you told me they were in your incubator but I never asked you about them. At least I don't remember you telling me. My memory, I swear, is shot.. I just assumed you got them from Jean.

You can find them free from tree companies but I didn't have time to correspond with them and wait until they were in the area so I bought some from a landscape supply a few miles up the road. There is about 3in of chips, seems to be keeping the water/mud issue at bay.

We have had our local tree cutter company drop off chips here before...call them & tell them where you are so if they are working in your area they can dump at your place.
They are wet chips however.and not suitable for inside the coop, but great for outside !
I have them in pathways in my garden, and on a hillside to keep weeds down, and am needing more..........I noticed they dumped 2 loads at my neighbors a few days ago...my turn is next !

I only put the wood chips in the run. They get good ol' pine shavings in the coop. When I need more chips or decide to do a garden with walk ways I will get some from a tree company. I'm curious how long the chips will last.

I have to ask a very odd question here please ... I went out to lock birds up blue calls them in about dusk
I have the three outside cats we care for feed clean water access to my old shasta trailer..
