3 inches of new snow on top of what was here wind still blowing and drifting. I just trugeded out to the covered and enclosed chicken run to give them there evening treats they are happy little piggies in there.

Snow mixed with freezing rain all day here. Is supposed to start up again soon and go for the rest of the night into tomorrow. It's going to be a skating rink around here. Got another egg today though. Probably the same chicken as yesterday.

Yup it has warmed up here but still have ice although there is no snow now
it did warm up and rain too much but now what they say is more rain

Hi All,
No way to catch up on all the posts I've missed. I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year. We've been spared the snow and ice in Bremerton, thank goodness, but this COLD is really getting do me. I need it a bit warmer. Looking at the weather forecast it may get a bit better in the coming week. I sure hope so.

Right now I've got a young cockerel that I'm trying to rehome. He's just 5 months old. Pure Swedish Flower Hen. Black based, crested, and he's got great flowering. He'd be a great addition to a flock I think.

I haven't seen any aggression other than he's not too keen on my alpha hen. He seems to see her as a threat to his mommy and aunty -- the Barnevelder twins! It's pretty funny actually.

So if I don't find him his own flock -- at someone else's place -- in the next few days he'll be going to freezer camp. Sad. Let me know quick if you're interested, or know someone who is.
