Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hi, I have a rooster (5-6mo) that I would love to rehome rather than send him to freezer camp.
This pic is from Oct 2016. I will take a current pic tomorrow; I just wanted to get this post done tonight.
He is 50% Silver Grey Dorking and 50% White Am.
I live 60 liles south of CDA, ID and Spokane, WA

what breed is your rooster, curious. is he cuckoo mix?

We took our Great Pyrenees LGD on a date tonight and she was rather fond of this guy so we should have puppies in a couple months.

The snow is almost gone here. Been able to let the chickens out into the yard more this week.
The tamest chickens I have are my speckled Sussex. But one of them fights me every time I reach to pet her. What's up with that? She doesn't run away and she lets me pick her up but she bites my hand when I reach for her.
She may just need glasses.

understand that lower lumbar in my back seizes or knees so pick my battles carefully
going to do 4 raised gardens this years and tires stacked 3 high for potatoes
IF I get any potatoes that are sprouting (usually nice ones organic from Costco that have no anti-growth chemicals on them) I toss them in a empty feed bag, and a few shovels of dirt, and keep going til almost full...then start another bag.
When you need potatoes, dump out a bag.
I usually do not dump any out unless I need some, cuz they just keep growing...and with the compost we make here, the spuds are beautiful and get huge fast.
