Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

My raised beds are made with just plain 2x12s. Nothing fancy and cheap to replace when they eventually need it. I'm planning on using feed sacks for potatoes this year. Haven't tried them that way yet.

I need to get off my bum and get a bed prepped and peas in. I have hoops and netting to keep the deer out this year
I had never heard of the feed sack method til she said it and will be doing it also thinking darn what a great idea
then I will plant my beets, carrots and the like in the tires. James put new tires on his truck badly needed I asked
if they had old tires for sale, he said no sale but all you can take out back as it costs for them to get rid of them.
I may go get a dozen more plant the whole garden in them

I've only done grow bags on tomatoes before. Potatoes are supposed to work really well. I have enough feed sacks to do it.

I'm thinking of trying to loosen up the raised beds with some straw this year. Pulling out the wheat and oats isn't an issue for me
