When I was in 11th grade, my parents allowed our neighbor of a couple years to pull out our fence on their side so that a cement truck could get back there and pour a pad for them. They sloppily replaced the fence to the back corner of the house but the rest that went to the front edge of the property wasn't replaced.
The guy started parking his boat beside the house, partly on my parent's land and then they would use more to walk around the boat and get to the back. They killed the lawn and were damaging the small planting bed mom had over there.
My parents put up with this for a year and a half. When I came back from bootcamp, Mom asked me to dig holes and replace the posts and fence since they were now partying under her window. I had the fence back up about 6 hours later, in it's original location.
Neighbor bitches and screamed and threatened to sue because my parents put a fence on his property. He called the town code enforcement. They came out and looked at the property markers and informed him he needed to shut up because the fence was 6 inches inside my parents property, which Mom had known for years.
Neighbor still bitched and screamed that he couldn't get to his backyard from that side now and that the boat didn't fit right. He hit the fence with the boat numerous times when he'd come back drunk from fishing.
Fast forward a few years and my parents got tired of them sitting outside and staring at them when they would be working on the yard. Parents put up a chainlink privacy fence ON the property line. Now he couldn't park the boat there at all.
Parents only had to put up with them another year before they were forclosed on.
It's a small town. I can tell you many stories about stupid crap that family did. I'd gone to school with the middle son, who was nothing like his father.
