Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Cochins are a fairly broody breed as well.

I usually just sell off obvious female culls. Hoping to get my boys to a point I can show them well. I did ok on the females. I only have partridge though.

yes I have 4 of them what a kick it is the darkest one laying she is squatting bug time

I don't really need them for brooding. I've already got three Australorps that are more than happy to raise a few batches of chicks for me each year.

None of my others ever have .. the one that walked up to Richard the one day last year is miserable just now poor dear is molting big time..

Hi I’m new to this online community.
We just lost our rooster, a 15 pound Rainbow we. We’re hoping to breed with our young Delaware hens and incubate out some eggs in February. Then I started seeing what Kathyinmo was doing with Delaware’s .
I’m hoping to get or hatch a out a Delaware to start my own breeding stock.
No where on the level that Kathy is at but some decent birds for our own use as dual purpose birds.
Anyone here in Washington State have something like that available?
Thanks

Wow, the weather the last few days has been awful. We had a power outage that lasted most of the night last night. We got a whole bunch of freezing rain and then regular rain on top of snow and ice. So trees and powerlines came down and the power went out.
