Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

We lost power last night. Wind knocked a tree across a power line down the Orting-Kapowsin Hwy.

Temperature was nice enough in the mid .
Just spent a day rocking and rolling on the Puget sound. WSF was running behind all day because we had to go so far out of our way just to get accross

I'm figuring out my first breeding of the year. Plan to set eggs end of January since the girls are with a different rooster.

Going to breed my stalker rooster first. I need that extra friendliness of his in the next generation. He's a nice looking boy too.

I'll breed the stalker hen to him later since she's white and I don't want to take all of Ashes' adult hens at once.

New hens, coops, and fencing picked up. 6 week olds have moved to their grow out coop. Incubator chicks that hatched yesterday are in freshly cleaned brooder. More chicks in the incubator fluffing up. One with yolk that didn't finish absorbing. Have it in a small bowl to protect till it finishes absorbing. Hope it survives.
Going to be busy this week getting coops cleaned out, remodeled and runs set-up for them.
Prepping for spring is exhausting.
