Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

First pullet egg today from one of the younger silkies. The little things are getting all grown up.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of where to get a good price on hardware cloth, or even a good alternative? I'm new to all this chicken stuff and our HD credit card is getting up there on the balance! I need to start finding decent alternatives that don't break the bank but also do the job intended! We have some kind of predator that is picking our chickens off one by one... After of course the initial attack of getting 20 of my babies. :hit :barnie

Forgot to mention, we're in Poulsbo

I found amazon to be the cheapest. I ordered half inch 2x50 foot rolls to do the bottom of the dog kennels. (They were heavy but free shipping) Even when I was looking for half inch 3x10 so I could put some down in a little kit coop to keep out rodents, it was cheaper to order 25 feet off amazon than buy 20 feet anywhere else

2 silkie eggs a day now

The hens Pumice and Bulma are laying in that pen. Hubby's unnamed hen and Bulla just came off broody and Lahar is broody. So I was only getting 2 eggs max in there.

There are 6 pullets in there. So should be more eggs soon.

The size difference gave the egg today away. It will be full size in a few weeks though.
