You have quite a few wild birds have you never worried about them in your coop or disease from them ?

Everything is netted and there is windbreak cloth and plastic hardware cloth around the tops of the pens to help keep the stupid blackbirds out. They are small enough to get through chainlink. The dogs will attack and kill them if they get into the silkie pens when Im out there.

The other birds leave the chickens alone

No honestly not been over panicked about that stuff I do keep all food and water in the coops but that is about it
 
Hey everyone!! First time (hopefully)trying to raise chickens in eastern wa (spokane)just trying to find my way lol. Building my coop this weekend, trying to find a hatchery or local breeder to adopt from(as young as possible sexed). Due to zoning laws only allowed 2 girls but trying to preferably find silkies. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
