Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I'm going to set silkie eggs come mid January I think. Maybe I'll move my half breed hens into the large fowl coop for a bit and hatch some of their eggs as well. I think some bearded, crested, EEs would be a cute line of birds for me to have.

Got more asthma meds. I'd been out and wasn't breathing well. Nice to be able to breathe again.

Visited my parents for Thanksgiving. Ive had velco dogs since we got back. They don't like staying there as they cant sleep with me. Mom doesn't need dog hair in her beds.

Understand that I am actually allergic to our cats they send me into hay fever hell but take benadryl morning noon and night that keeps it mostly at bay not one of my more sever allergies funny but the bird dander does seem to be either thank heavens

Mom has a cat allergy. Dogs she just doesn't like the hair so they aren't allowed on carpeted areas. They can be outside playing or they have beds in her large utility room. The door is usually open and they can see us when we're in the kitchen or dining room.

Athena just feels she needs to guard me and Zeus is attention needy.

Zeus got in a bit of trouble. Dogs were outside and Mom, SILs, and nieces were outside. The girls are young and decided to run yelling. Zeus took off after them barking and got around them with his head down. The girls ran back to the adults and he walked off. They did this three times. I told Mom that since it worked he now will remember. He does have decent herding instinct and I use him to help with the chickens.

Ya I can say as I get older my dogs are not quite spoiled as they use to be
but also there are 3 more cats in the house than I normally had :he We do not let them in our office or computer room whatever we call it :fl I have fit if one gets on my sewing machines water bottle spray fest :gig

Hello, neighbors!
I live in Cheshire, Oregon. About 2 hours south of the boarder. I know the timing is bad but I'm looking for hatching eggs. I'm willing to drive to pick them up if it's around 3 hours from here.
Preferably not hatchery stock. The breeds I'm most interested in are Marans, Welsummer, Wyandotte and anything that lays a true blue egg.
Thanks in advanced.

http://www.springleaffarm.com/ Has a lot of the breeds you are looking for but they are all the way in spokane and thats probabl way too far

Rainer foohills farm has amercauanas and a couple others but I can't remember for sure what else. I have gotten four chicks from her and all have been great! I definitley do recomend. This is also quite a drive though

I should have BBS Ameraucaunas, Olive Eggers, and easter eggers later next year along with some other breeds. Ameraucanas lay blue eggs. Olive egger lay dark green eggs. Easter eggers could possibly lay eggs that vary in shade from blue to green to olive to aqua and sometimes even pinkish or brown.

I hope this helps at least a little bit! Goodluck on your search!
