Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

That's still one more than me! If even one would lay, that would be enough eggs for me to get by. Instead, I'm eating store bought eggs. :hmm
That's interesting. This is may second winter. Like the previous year, I started chicks in the early spring, got a few eggs starting in September or October, and they never completely stopped in the winter. I have gotten 1 or 2 most days through the winter these last two years. The occasional zero egg day. Being a beginner, I assume it's not due to skill or wisdom. No lights in the coop either. Dumb luck I'm sure.

Im getting 3-4 large fowl eggs a day. 3 hens are 1.5 and giving most the eggs. One is 5, two are 6, and two are 9. The 3 pullets should start soon.

The 35 or so silkie hens are starting to lay good if they haven't decided to molt or go broody. Some have. The elderly hens have started there too.
