Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

My Tezza acted a little indignant at first but when I was working on those crusty feathers she calmed right down. I can’t imagine how itchy they must have been!
I put less than a teaspoon of shampoo in a bucket of lukewarm water. The crock pot wasn’t deep enough to really soak, but I just gently splashed the water up under her tail and once wet I could see the gunk and work it loose. Yes I had rinse water too. That would have been nice to have another person to dump the soapy water and refill with clean. I just had to catch her again but she’s pretty slow. :gig I didn’t dry her but by roost time she was dry. I have taken the blow dryer up there before though.

We have a laundry room sink convinced the old man I had to have a
hand held pull out sprayer that way I set them in warm water take my small amount of shampoo spread evenly down the back feathers add soap work through the bird .. Talk to them the entire time can be fun and goofy
