Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

wow

The 4 are the same age but recently bought myself a plucker that goes on a drill and 2 kill cones from Amazon

Welcome to the state thread
Let me know how well the plucker works. I would like to get a plucking machine & raise meat birds next year! It's just not in the budget at this time!

Was asked if I would do 20 get paid for it .. Have to think, know the folks he was the mayor here quite a few years great folks .. Probably will one time as the Son said he will assist..

Y’all east siders have it rough in every season!
Yes we do! Just dropped in to say a quick hello to everybody. Everything’s going great here. I have 16 chickens now. They’re all laying eggs like crazy. I’m ready for the weather to cool down. I love spring and fall. I am trying to decide whether to do supplemental light through the winter. Can’t decide, keep switching back-and-forth as to whether I’m going to do it or not. I keep my chickens for four years and then I give them away to people who make them into soup. But at least they get for good years on this planet. So what do you guys think, should I do the supplemental light or would that be too hard on them?

Has not seemed to shorten any lives or hurt my girls
now last year even with the light my older girls the 5 year old quit laying
I was like 3 months no eggs .. I am pretty certain I have some 6 year olds that are
going for soup here the 4 young cockereles growing up can be chicken tacos
