Wow scary the world we now have ... I did get the tiny ameracauna she is little but 2 month olds I have up there are the same size as her

Anyone else’s birds struggling to breathe in the smoke? Worried I may lose a few this evening :/

Mine seemed to do alright have fans going big ones are you getting allot of it there now it cleared from here by this morning

The smoke is still really bad up here. It actually got worse as the day went on.

Went home and fed the birds. One hen is audibly breathing and making noise. My female Khaki won’t even move. She just stares off into the distance and her heart is going a million miles per hour. Two in the nest boxes and not moving.

Are you able to have fans on them mine did not like it all came in early
but did not kill anyone and it was horrible last night we where outside in masks

Unfortunately there isn’t an outlet out there.

Went to grab the struggling birds to bring them in and found my khaki dead. She had just died as her body was warm. Wish I would have decided to bring her in earlier.

Going to check on the others... not so high of hopes after burying my duck.

The smoke is nasty still currently. I feel bad for the folks right next to it!

Another hen is down, but not dead yet. Put her in the cabin with my son. Hopefully some rest without smoke will help.

Thank you, me too! She’s my oldest and isn’t even a good layer. But wasn’t about to let her suffocate.
