It works fairly well, and under the shavings are some stall mats so we can hose it off easily when cleaning.
We only have our standard size chickens in this one, as the bantams have their own separate coop.

I have three coops the fort knox is Banty 4 of them still .. had 4 silkie lost 2 added a Plymouth barred rock and a Ameracauna .. She is very young growing up.
Got her from Member here as a special needs bird but she has flourished in silkie care limpy does not limp anymore ..

I have a new enlarged little coop could put 5 in before now 10 only 3 more being added ..
Main coop my 17 square foot dome is at the end of it's life hope it lasts to spring then I can give them a new coop

We have a Penedensenca hen and a black copper maran hen available in Yelm, washington. The two come with an olive egger cockerel. Please message me and I can send pics. The hens are about 1.5 years old and laying pretty regularly. The cockerel was hatched july 1st and hasn’t crowed so far. Message me for pictures and price. Hoping to give them a great new home! The rooster will be a pretty guy, I added a pic of what he will look like in a few weeks.

Will be looking for like 5 Blue or olive layer pullets real soon just completed a rehab on small coop started 4 years ago 2 will go there with Smudge my blue marans rooster .. Others can go in my main coop with Red my EE rooster

We will have a blue layer available pretty soon i believe. She is a true black man ameraucana but she’s having fertility problems with my flock. Not sure if it’s a problem with her or if my roosters just don’t like her very much lol.

We are talking roosters, I currently have one, (I will not mention babies.) He is about 6 months old, an OE from Meyer's. He is already a dad too, and He has not crowed yet. Doesn't mean he will not but I am letting him hang out.

I have about 5 of my 7 young hens starting to lay. Cuckoo Maran (glossy penny colored egg), Bluebell egger (blue egg), LO (tan egg), sapphire jem(pinky-purple egg w/spots), and BA (white egg.) I am waiting on another LO and a welsummer.
