Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Heya fellow Washingtonians! Please pardon the interruption, I just have a quick question. Does anyone know where (if) I could find blue laced red wyandotte bantam chicks around 3 - 5 weeks old? Or alternatively, a pullet of the same size and pattern old enough to perhaps mother a few chicks?

And: I've got four bantam mutts about five weeks old that I'm increasingly certain are roos, and would happily hand off to a good home. If anyone near the Tacoma area was wondering. 😏

This concludes my interruption; do please carry on, thank you.

Hi and welcome to the thread! I hope you find what you’re looking for!

Just popping in to say a quick hello! I’ve got 15 chicks coming near the end of April, chicken math took over when I realized I’d save money by ordering more chicks than I had planned (or have property for...the city says 1000 sq ft per hen). 🤷🏻‍♀️ I may have to rehome a few, or not...we will see how it goes.

For now, my kids and I are busy planning a new brooder using plastic totes (I think 3 of the large 105-qt totes is plenty of room to get the chicks feathered out)! Next up, is rebuilding one wall of my run and moving the current coop.

Also...nest boxes! My 3 hens before used 2 cat litter boxes...how many nest boxes are 15 going to need?!?
