Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

After burying the chick, I played outside with planting too long lost track of time. Your dinner @pennyJo1960 sounded delish. Great day to BBQ. And tomorrow, back to the cool weather. Today we got up to 74, aired out the house at last. This was sure a teaser. Girlfriends and I are heading up to see the tulip tomorrow. Hope we don't get rained out.

Hi! I haven't been around in awhile, but maybe someone here can help. I am trying to find a home for a Silver Americauna Rooster that was rescued by people on a busy street in Mt Vernon. He is gorgeous and good with hens (he stayed with me one night, escaped to have my hens follow him around like a rock star until I managed to finally catch him and get him back in the pen), good with other roosters and good with animals like dogs and cats. He is not aggressive toward people or animals in any way. I can't keep him because he does crow a lot and the tenants of the next door lot aren't happy. He has a limp from a swollen ankle/injury, but it does not seem to be serious or impair him-he's fast. He has a cute fuzzy beard and an impressive double comb. I have photos on my phone, but do not know how to post them here.

I tried the humane society and they just pretty much said they would euthanize him. I am trying to contact Rooster Haus, but I thought I would throw it out here and see if anyone in Whatcom, Skagit or Snohomish might be interested in a nice if vocal, unsocialized and somewhat shy Roo.
