Fiery got so very grey in her old age. She was a runt and smaller than normal at 12 pounds. I don't have any pictures of Fox. He was normal sized.

We had a black widow on the inside door frame this morning!

We’re still picking blackberries! There are still a lot of big red ones too! Never had a year quite like this one.

So the little birds and the older ones are separated by a fence in the middle of the run - the new girls started dirt bathing on one side of the fence and our Roo came up and joined them on the other side!

I can't help but think he was trying to bond with them - anyone else experience this when integrating new birds with older ones?

Stinkbugs invading? First time I've seen these this year. Here's an interesting video. Do they affect egg flavor?

We have seen them here too in SW Wa but not many and none in the chicken run. At least not that I’ve seen. They seem to gravitate to the sunshine and the chickens are pretty shaded.

I've seen a few out in Puyallup when in town but haven't seen any around the property
