I am going to contact a gal I have gotten birds from get some big birds from her
need about 6 or or so.

I've been working for several years on a silkie project. It's more of a fun thing.

Bred silkie to ameraucana. Then bred back to silkie. I have a really nice F4 male I'm keeping and hoping he carries the 1 copy of the gene. All of the hens only have 1 copy as I don't have a good male with it for breeding yet.

This is an F3 pullet egg on the right compared to the ameraucana egg on the left. She looks very partridge silkie.

Like right now birds are so messed Between 2 to 4 eggs a day. We are building a new coop
it is behind the old coop .. birds are in there the bulk of the days if cloudy or raining or dirt baths.. I am pretty convinced this is why I am not getting eggs.

cafI finally gave both dogs a shower and trimmed their nails yesterday. that is a 4-hour chore,
I love that the chore list is just about done.
Hahahaha but there is one brewing for the spring
Ok, Tonys up and wants out, time to open the coop door, 5:58 !

I am in CDA Idaho, and looking for someone that is willing to rehab a goose. I rescued and doing great. The ankle is week, but getting better. Bitten by a dog. I don't mind keep caring I just really don't have the time. I will keep caring for this what I think is a girl. I am just not a huge fan of goose. They kind of scare me. I have an elderly 92 neighbor that originally owned but is not in a situation to care for this goose. I found this goose almost dead on my property The local humane society gave me the ownership and care with her permission. She is having issue with coyotes taking her geese out. She only have four left which stated she lost four the last few days. Not sure if anyone knows of a rehab place for geese? I know this is a chicken site as that is what I have, but had this issue thrown at me.
