Dry all day yesterday looks the same this morning.

Oh a few days I keep a stock of food in the house.

Oh yeah...plenty of food on hand. I just don't like having to change out the water dishes for the chickens a few times a day when it is snowing. I have a heated water dish inside the coop but none of the outdoor water dishes are. It is a lot of work. Plus, we have to turn off the river pump this time of year and use the water tank out there. Only 100 gallons, so we have to fill it a few times in the winter.

I wouldn't say winter is more work...just different work.

I understand I have a few water heater in cans I put the buckets on mine froze maybe crust on them. Not enough to do anything about it.
May all change with the new coop.

Its been a busy morning, I got up at 5, its 23 out.
got the fires going,
made coffee,
let the chickens out at 6,
just finished feeding the dogs and getting another HOT cup of coffee,

Clear and cold but may be 42 by 2pm

We put out seeds and water for the birds, 12 degrees this am.
