I have a couple black lights intended for snake terrariums that I have securely hooked to the ceiling of the coop. They create a couple warmish spots. Not really warm, but warmer than the rest of the coop. My girls are doing fine with the cold snap. Pippi too.

Weather says we will not have any more freezing nights for a while. That's great.

Good Sunday Morning!
up at 4:50am made the fire, coffee, opened the coop- scooped up the overnight poop, filled the water, -- added more wood to the stove and poured my a wonderful HOT cup of coffee.
Even though its 28 out the coop water didnt freeze like yesterday, non of the chickens have explored the nesting box yet??? very odd. The Leghorns would have been all over it.

We did not have it so cold just freezing here 43.9 here now.
Need to adult and go paint the coop boards.

Good afternoon all of you, first drizzle this morning in two weeks.
Going to plug holes in our old brick building called the root cellar ?
Maybe used for canning ? cement floor? Anyway rats invaded need to plug a few holes.

I did manage to plug holes in the shed wall. I added some bits of busted concrete
to allot of the holes to fill them.
