It was raining steady when I went to bed last night and it was raining steady when I got up so I think this is a real rain! Sometimes the June rain isn’t enough to not keep watering.

Went to bed about 10 started in the night. Not a hard rain dried dogs not feet just backs.
have to wait and see if it is enough here.

My peas look happy today! I need to pick a lot of them so they keep producing.

Well, I picked about a pint and half of pea pods and cooked them in the juices from braising some chicken drumsticks. Added a little corn starch to thicken it up and boy were those peas tasty! Chicken wasn't too bad either.

I barely made a dent in the pea crop so I'll be eating peas every day for quite a while.

Good morning Just my lettuce is giving allot of salads.
everything else is growing had 2 days we did not have water.

I let the new cockerels mingle with my pullets yesterday evening. Instead of going into detail here, I'll add a link to my post in the chickens thread. I think it went pretty well. There were a few quick little battles for dominance but no blood was drawn.

Just so you all know. I'm looking for a new rooster, maybe cockerel, for my flock. I love Pippi to death, but he is not able to do his job. So, necessity dictates. If anyone in SW Washington has an extra Rooster or Cockerel let's talk. I'm partial to Orpingtons. That is what all my hens are. LO, BO, and Australorp mainly.
