I saw a flash of color on the side of the road when I crossed the street to get my mail. I didn't have my camera with me so I picked one to take a pic inside.




Native red columbine (or western columbine, or Sitka columbine).
Very cool looking blossoms! There are quite a few growing along the road, but unfortunately not on my side of the road.

I have seeds sprouting for some here..
That and Shasta daisy's ..
I have heck of garden here all in tires stacked one on another.
Tomato is see small ones coming on.

The monkey is sad that his friend the owl ended up in such bad shape. Hard living will do that to an owl.

I had a storebought blue monkey. That's what I wanted for Christmas.

Couple weeks ago at the beach. I first thought "Oh no!", and then realized that a real owl would look really tiny if it was soaked! I think that the surf had been wearing the fuzz off that toy for some time!
