Chickens love wet food as a treat. I don't like giving it to silkies because they make a mess and wear it

Well, dishwasher died yesterday. Picked up a new one today. Had to go to Olympia for it. DH has old one out and will install the new one tomorrow. It's always something.

I was at the fair over the week end my favorite chickens
Silkies
B&W duck wing game rooster. This one had the tiniest crow!
I liked one goose I took home.
I liked one golden sexlink hen. She was very nice.

On the goose, I ran into a chicken friend at the fair. I called her after we got home, she said her husband fell in love with the same goose.

Gave mine chicken flavored rice with corn my had a heck of treat.
I took a look at the boxes after 1 egg yesterday there are three in boxes now left them to get the others going too.
We are going to Puyallup fair the 14th I have a need for scones.

I piled the compost pile back up, the one that the chickens spread out into a 15 foot circle. They've already started trying to level it again. I let them out around 2PM, and watched a couple of them run down, catch, and eat some big grasshoppers. They can sure move when they're chasing live food!

then crawl to the surface birds go bonkers for them.

What a beautiful goose! We are back out again today to catch the last 2 remaining Fawn and White Indian Runner Drakes that were dumped in Manito Park here in Spokane! We caught 2 of them yesterday with the help of the Parks Dept. Poor boys are super healthy looking for having been dumped 3 weeks ago! We just heard about them 3 days ago. Seems our Crisis Team will be taking on "animals dumped at the local park" now too...

I filled up the oyster shell boxes in both runs. Don't know if they'll eat them, but they are there if they want them. I bought a 50# bag at TSC. I'm not sure how it can be called Oyster Shell, because it also contains coral calcium and clam shells.




Got 7 eggs so far this morning, too.

The bags I buy are from the feed store brown 50 lbs bag of flakes.
Oyster is all in them but then I hate tsc.
