Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Well, that's progress, but that was one nasty injury!

The thing is that it didn't actually look that bad. Had I not got the tendon, it would have healed in a week with the stitches. Finding the tendon where it slipped into the hand and threading it back through all the tendon sheaths is what was difficult. Doctor said I was lucky because it didn't snap all the way back to the wrist.

I have tons on restrictions on what I can do. Hand doesn't look like it belongs to Frankenstein's monster anymore at least.

I watered my fall crop seedlings and the zinnia patch. Got 2 good size zucchinis that I'll use to make sweet relish tonight and tomorrow, and picked about a quart of white potatoes from under a dying plant. I halved and fried the little ones for lunch, and they were good!

I'm set up for outdoor food processing now so I don't heat up the house.

The girls got a treat consisting of a handful of dandelion plants and a small, shriveled ripe tomato that I found on the ground. A couple of them played "It's Mine, It's Mine" with the tomato until it was all gone.
