Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I've never needed an avian vet, but I'm pretty sure the veterinarian in Winlock treats chickens, but I'm not sure about the Desloresin.

Thanls for the info! I called them and they do treat chickens. The receptionist wasn't sure about whether they do hormone therapy but she didnt think so. But they referred me to Farmhouse Vet in Olympia and they do do it! I have an appt booked.

Hello from Park City, Utah! My husband and I are looking to move to the PNW area this year. I really wanted to be close to Corvallis OSU hospital, but not finding any homes there that we like. So we headed north and are now focusing on Olympia to Centralia, fringes of Vancouver, and around Port Angeles. I am concerned about three things: the weather, veterinary-hospital care for all of my critters, and access to urban amenities (like costco and petco). Anyone live in these areas and can share their experiences living there? Thanks!!

The Olympia area has the urban amenities you are looking for. There are good veterinarians, but not for chickens. I did just hear of one locally here, south of Centralia, but haven't checked them out. Weather? It rains here.

The other direction, Vancouver, will be much like the Olympia area as far as amenities go.

I've not been to Port Angeles.

Lifetime living in Washington State. I would not move here. A lot of new perposed laws everything from gun legislation, banning all non electric heat including camp fires, all wood stoves, propane and gas fuel stoves, Coleman and backpacking types
