Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

That's awful!!! Hope you get through it all okay!!! Look at it this way, tomorrow evening it will all be behind you.

Implants take such a long time with the healing (4 months if you heal well) before you can get a crown. Would rather not do that

I have had 6 implants. They may take a long time, but I love them when they are done. Those are teeth I will not have a problem with again. :bun

Well that toothache that started Thursday wasn't so simple. Saturday I had some swelling that got worse. Called dentist Monday when they opened. Saw them at 7am this morning. Xrays. Abcess. They didn't think they were equipped to deal with any complications and refered me to endodontist. Saw them at 8. They did a different scan. Rather bad but root canal was option. She numbed me and drained gum. Have to drain overnight and get the root canal tomorrow at 645am.

Long days. I have a therapy apt for my hand tomorrow at 1050 so I should be oh so cheerful for them.
Oh I am so sorry , your mouth must hurt.
Mine does, I was in the chair at 8, had 7 eblasion fillings, 4 top 3 bottom right. They did the left side last week. I can’t drink out of a straw, my face is to numb.

I have another month or so until I can get the crown on my implant that replaced the tooth I cracked down the center
That was not fun, I had crown work feb 28 and the crown put on March 11, It took 3 weeks for the nerve to calm down.

I got a crown once years ago. The dentist wanted to do a root canal and I refused. He did a poor job shaping the stub the and crown repeatedly fell off. I left it off permanently several years ago and it's been fine. No problems with the stub. The tooth root is still alive and well, and no pain.

He said the tooth directly above on the upper jaw would migrate downward. It didn't. And as far as the root canal he wanted to do, in my opinion he just wanted an extra $1000 at my expense (and pain). I don't completely trust Dr.s and Dentists these days. I listen to them, then allow them do what I believe is right for me.

Im so sorry. That just sucks.

As for me, no more throbbing. Just sore if touched. Lancing helped a lot
