Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Anyone local to Longview/Kelso interested in adopting a lovely Gold Laced Polish hen or know of a polish/silkie flock who would like to welcome her? Sadly I didn't know so much about getting two of a kind when I got her, and now she's my "odd-one-out bottom chicken" and getting picked on for her cool hair-doo.

My only rooster is finally going to auction on Friday, which might change the dynamic a little, but it's the hens that are picking on poor Polly.

She's healthy, vaccinated, 14 weeks old purchased from a feed-store and raised on fermented Scratch and Peck. I've kept the bullying closely monitored and she doesn't currently have any feather loss. I just want a good caring home for her where she'll be able to a more pleasant experience. Main requirement is another polish or silkie for her to bond with.
Think I would be in the same boat I have no other like her.

Alternatively if you can't find her a good home you could try giving her a hair cut, that makes the poof less of a target for others and gives her better vision so she can run away.

Just realized we have a bunch of scapes growing on the garlic. Now I need to research when to harvest them and what to do with them when I do. 😁
I cooked some of my scapes with the rabbit and made pickled garlic scapes with the rest. Still a week before I can try the pickled scapes. I don't remember the exact recipe but it had vinegar, water, mustard seeds, salt and a little sugar, all brought to a boil then poured over the scapes in the jar. It's in the fridge now.
