Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

We had 4 green beans ready for picking, so I picked them. We are just snacking on them raw. What else is there to do? They are delicious. Can't wait for a real harvest.

Lots of tomatoes growing too. They turned out better than I thought they would when I first put them in the ground. Big and healthy now.

I like fried green beans. A little oil, fresh beans, salt and pepper in a skillet. Cook them covered on low for a while to make them tender, remove the lid and continue cooking at a slow sizzle to brown them up a little, flipping them a few times. They shrink up a little, concentrating the flavor. I made a batch last night for supper.

I remember you sharing a photo of that last year. Great idea....but with 4 beans? We're just snacking on them. I'll cook some when I get a harvest.
