Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Quote: So can I make it in a milk carton (1 gallon) and use it over the next few days to fill thier waterer over the next few days. Or dose it go bad and need to be freshly made every day? Also Does this need to costantly be in their water or do I do medicated water and then when it is gone for the day put in normal water? The directions on this are not very good.

Hope yo meet you!
To anyone whom I haven't met who will be at the show, I will be wearing a t-shirt that says "Got Silkies?" with a picture of silkies on it on Saturday. I may be wearing my blue BYC t-shirt from a couple years ago on Friday. So Stop me and say Hi! My name is Kim, I am pretty nice, and I don't bite, usually!

That's great to know. The ones my great aunt has are super strong smelling. Mom says they were planted back when she was young so they are old bushes. I just love the things.
Ever try to root any ?
I have rooted a few semi-woody bush "cultivars' if that is the correct term.
I'd love to have a few of yours !!

Hi CL.... There is software, it's called Electric Quilt. I use it to do just what you're describing. Although it has many blocks already loaded there are still a lot more out there, like many at Quilters Cache But it does let you draft your own blocks. I was wondering why you're putting 2" sashing between the Kristen blocks? Wouldn't you loose the overall design? Since it's paper pieced matching the points should be fairly easy.
The Quilts that have an "overall" pattern that is only seen without sashing, would have no sashing.

This past spring I saw an online coupon for a window washing company whose company uniform was kilts. I was strongly tempted, but I kind of doubted all their workers looked as good as the guy in the ad. And it would have been difficult to get past the husband. (Plus that sort of thing is all gimmick, so their handsome kilt wearing guy probably can't wash a window to save his life.)

You just never know !

Quote: I'm going to ask if I can get some starts. They live over by Hermiston, OR so I have to try and coordinate to get down and get them. I mentioned I'd like some to late last spring. They had a bunch of suckers they'd cut down the week before I asked. When I go down at Christmas I'll mention it again.

Make fresh daily. I measured out meds on my gram scale and just change water at same time every day.

As far as that article goes I agree with the author many will think it's terrible. LOL!
We've used them for fishing before.
I'm not going to set it up for my chickens but I thought maybe some one here might be interested in doing it.
Many times on my property I have over turned items to find some maggots and taken them to the chickens.
Whom ever it was that mentioned worms I think that was an interesting way to look at it.

Yes IMO Saturday is the time to go.
I will try to remember to bring a few boxes of the feed sack tote bags I have made.
They sure come in handy for all sorts of tasks, besides shopping, I have used them for gathering veggies and my neighbor uses his for hauling firewood in the house (no dirt/bark gets on his floors)
I sell them for $10 each.
