Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Busy weekend as usual, but this weekend has been especially good and bad all rolled into one.

Good: took John to see King Tut's exhibit at the science center in Seattle. What a fantastic exhibit!! We had so much fun together just the two of us. I highly recommend the exhibit plus the IMAX video. Then Reber Ranch to cash in on an email coupon I received for $3 of each bag of Nature Wise feed I bought, so I maxed it out at 3 bags, then went to Costco and filled a cart and a half. Yeah...we had no food in the house. ugh.

BAD: Jeanine caught John's flu from Wednesday and threw up from 3:30am until dinner time tonight. It was MUCH worse for her than it was for John, he only yakked once on Wednesday morning. Poor baby girl is miserable :( Now the wait begins for me, DH, and the babe (who's not so much a baby anymore but I can't help myself).

Good: While DH took care of all 3 kids today, including a very sick Jeanine (who slept voluntarily on a blanket on the bathroom floor all day!), I went shopping with my MIL and got everyone new clothes at the North Bend Outlets! It's been a loooong time coming and all the kids were so thrilled when I got home with new stuff.

A big thanks to Renee for the bag of clothes last month; I finally got through it this evening while purging old outgrown, worn out, and ugly clothes; gone gone gone! and putting away all the new stuff. Jeanine will be all set for size 7 jeans whenever she gets there, for sure!! My sister took the size 7 boy stuff for now since her oldest needed clothes; they will be well used by our boys! Thanks for your generosity!

I just want to say thank you to all of you for letting me be a part of this thread, even though I am from the southern border. The Oregon thread is VERY slow. I am pretty introverted, exact opposite of my DW, so I have a hard time meeting people. This forum allows me to talk, without talking. I was really hoping to make the WFF next weekend and put some faces to names, but my youngest son(16) has organized a time trial for his school and the rival school in the district(and some more schools including college kids). It is a track 3k, so the kids can see their current time and figure out what training(how many miles per week) they need to do between now and track season. I will likely be photographing the event. This kids is absolutely addicted to running. My oldest son has moved to Elgin Airforce Base to go through phase 2 of Army EOD(Explosive Ordinance Disposal) schooling(this is where ALL phase 2 EOD schooling is for all Branches). He will get to come home for Christmas. Yay.
I have really enjoyed your participation in on this thread. I can relate to being able to find a way to express yourself in a safer way. I have been able to have some very comfortable friendships with some of the folks that are on the thread. I feel that I have found some of the best friends that I have ever known here. It's rare to find friends that will check on why you haven't been around for awhile. I think that for me this is the best thing that I have ever found. I need people that remember that I belong someplace. I don't have that anywhere else in my life.

Congratulations on your son's entry into the Army's EOD training. I know that what your son will be doing, will have it's own sets of worry. But at the same time I have always thought that learning about explosives would be a lot of fun. It will be interesting to see some of your pictures of the kids running also.

I hope that maybe you will be able to come to the show that will be held next March. I know that it is farther away from you, but maybe we could arrange to have you picked up at the train station in Seattle. I am sure that we could probably get you back to the station so that you could get back home the same day. It is just an idea.

Is there ANY hope Latte might end up looking like the hen in this picture some day... http://www.ehow.com/info_8513252_chicken-breeds-lay-brown-eggs.html

Latte today:

I know, I'm pathetically desperate trying to "make" Latte be a girl.
Latte looks like a pullet to me. She won't look like the hen on your link. She looks like a Salmon Faverolle. I think that her head will be a cream color, and her body feathers will remain the same color that they are now.

CR here is a pic:

Buried in crap....mostly boat stuff but it is getting rusty.
My brother heated a 2000sf home with this stove....ideally it would look like this:

Although the lower pic does not have the handels on it as ours does.
Great stove...very heavy..........DH has no legs on it in his shop...it is just on blocks but I think he still has the legs.
Otherwise, there is 10 ft of dual wall pipe, 2-45 degree bend dual wall. 10 foot single wall, 2- 45 degree single walls, and a twirly whirly topper(cap) (for the wind)
It is a Fedarl Airtight (Consl. Dutchwest)
OK so I think I missed something about the stove?
Quote: If you go to the site then click winter show. get the catalog and it is all on page 6. Being a little familiar with the cat makes it easier to find things.

Hey we enjoy ya being here too. Has yer some been to Redstone Arsenal. That is THE EOD headquarters. See if he has got to play with any SID (Suspect Item Disposal) units (bomb disposal trailer). I built the one that is currently at Redstone. As well as many others all over the world.

Quote: Thanks. I have no issues driving to Seattle, in fact I could even probably talk the DW into making it a day trip. She loves to go there. I will see if my youngin is ok with me posting his pics on here(shouldn't have an issue, they get posted on FB. And I own the rights to them, I shot them). My DW told me the other day when I said I was gonna try and make the show, "I don't know what's worse, that or a Star Trek convention(never been to one)". But she does love our birds, she just thinks I am obsessed. I told her I could have worse obsessions, at least the birds give us eggs and someday meat. When I am on here and she walks into the room, she asks if I am looking at my "cock" porn

. She has to indulge me in this, I let her start acting again. 3 plays and a musical in last year and a half.

JB, my older son always says EOD only have 1 bad day at work. We try and look past that.

CR, He is in phase 2 at Elgin. Starts classes next week. So we/he have not been to Redstone, yet. I don't think he gets to "play" until into phase 2. I think the only thing they have built is the .50cal Explosive. A lot of his stuff he can't tell us about, just what they call it. The Army doesn't think we common folk can keep secrets. Oh if they only knew me.

. Oh wait, they probably do.

That is sooooo cool!!!!!!

Awww, poor dear!!! Hope it's just the short-term virus and she's already heading toward getting better. It's so hard seeing little nubbins feeling crappy!

One of my favorites is the shirts that say " Bomb tech IF you see me running keep up"

Yes when he gets to Redstone ask him about one pound making a "TURKEY GOBBLE" lol

Quote: Thank you. Miss Chloe looks adorable, but has that smirk that looks like she is thinking up the next thing to do. lol I have only one picture of myself as a infant. I was the third kid in 5 years. I don't think that there are any pictures of me until I was about 4, and I think that it was only because our goat had given birth to twin kids. The picture of me, is of me feeding one of the kids. It does tend to give a kid a bit of a complex, but now I can't be bothered to care about something like this. lol I am sure that you will be able to get more pictures of Emily soon.
