Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

This week I'm gonna work on clearing out all my gluten-infused foods. It's too expensive to just throw them out so maybe I can share with the chickies! The celiac disease was, yet again, confirmed so it's back to seriously planning all my meals and going out to eat will again be a PITA! I'm just glad that I am at home full-time now and should have an easier time sticking to it! This time the entire family is going to eat what I eat because it's too tempting to have it in the house and it's very annoying to fix more than 1 meal!

Glad you were finally diagnosed and now you can get better !
It is always nice to know why you are feeling so badly !!!!
Tip: I have been using both Pamela's Baking Mix & Pamela's Bread Mix and while expensive, they work fantastic !!!!!!!
I can use (so far) ANY recipe where wheat flour is used, and subsitute the Pamela's Mix.
It is at my health food store...............I just used it to make Toll House Cookies with the recipe off the chocolate chip bag, and the cookies came out perfect, no one can tell the difference !!!
The Franz GF bread that just came out is awsome too !
I DO use regular breads for DH, and use the Franz GF bread for me, but everything else here is GF.
Oh, and beware of MSG amd "modified food starch" that is unidentified.

We finally have found an "old logger guy" who is coming today to cut down 5-6 DF's we have around the house, way too close to the house.
He is supposed to be here shortly....so maybe I will be draggin limps & stacking them.......hopefully the rain stays away !!!

I dug through another rubbermaid tub of fabric & found some 3-stripes I forgot I had, 3 strips sewn together, in assorted colors...and now I have no idea what pattern they were intended for.
Also in the tub were 2 sets of flannel jammies, pattern still pinned to the fabric but all cut out...all projects that were interrupted when we moved here.

Still have not found the french braid pieces............

And I just saw them a month ago !!!!
Back out to dig through stored stuff I go...........................

Our little Cub Scout Pack walked in the local Veteran's Day Parade yesterday. It used to be known as the largest Veteran's Day Parade west of the Mississippi, but now they're saying it has grown to be the largest Veteran's Day parade in the US. People started assembling at 8:30 a.m. (the boys in our Pack got there at 10:30 a.m.), The actual parade started at 11:00, but we didn't walk until after 1:30, and there were a bunch of groups behind us. The parade is that long!

I sure do miss Auburn sometimes. Lots of great memories there. My brother and I used to run down the ally behind our house to watch the parades on Main St. We lived on F St between E Main and 2nd till I was 12, then moved out to Snohomish. That was quite the culture shock for us city kids!

Monroe Farm and Feed is running a series of specials, and the first was announced today:

"This the 1st deal for our 12 DEALS OF CHRISTMAS sale!!
This week ALL buckets and De-Icers are 25% off, and Taste of the Wild Dog Food is $37.99, excluding the roasted fowl, regularly $45.99!!! Happy shopping!!"

I'm going to run up there today and see what sort of de-icers they have. I should also pick up some Corid for quarantining the new birds. Anyone have suggestions for anything else I need for them? I have probiotics. I guess I need some Frontline?

I was so happy to see it on the shelf at my little Western Family Market here !!!

Well actually we (Franz) don't make the gluten free bread. It is made for us. not sure by who. just like we make alot of bread and buns for the chain stores and put it in their packaging. I work in the French Dept. we don't use gluten in that. BUT the sour dough has 3% gluten in it. So the gluten free bread is good?? I brought some home for one of the P/T's at my DW work
