Its still cold outside. The water bottles keep getting swapped out and I keep corn out for the chickens with their feed. The chickens so far seem fine. The rabbits are fine too. Someone was saying it was possible to snow again on T Day.

Toni-your ducks are so very cute!! They seem so tame too .. Nice
yes, it is supposed to snow more AND tomorrow will be a MIX...yuck, later guys, and have a Wonderful Thanksgiving, I gotta close coops, get ready for the drive to Cehalis to meet Heather and make a fruit salad not necessarily in that order, oh, and a firewood delivery !
I have a question for you veteran flock owners, who have to deal with the COLD weather. Do you use vaseline on their comb's to prevent Frostbite??
One of my White leghorns comb is so big that it hangs way down over her eye. She is so skidish that I can't get any closer than five feet to her. Her comb looks pretty dark.
I was going to wait till she comes into the coop for the night then pick her up and put her in the basement in a cage. Going from 25 dregrees in the coop to 60 dregrees in the basement shouldn't hurt her. Should it??????????????
This little girl HASN'T laid an egg SINCE May 18th

Hey. I'm not sure where your farm is at. But I'm right out here on Indianola Rd. If its close by, I could go out and check on everybody if you need. Temps are supposed to get close to 32* tomorrow, so hopefully we will thaw out some. The main roads are ok, but I have no idea how the south side of the bridge is... Havn't ventured over to the Island yet. There was a fatal accident between Totten and in town Suquamish, two days ago. And there is about 12 cars in various ditches between me place and Poulsbo. Had quite the time getting out of the driveway this morning, but once on the road all was ok, safe to drive so long as your slow, and steady.
