Well, I moved entire flocks of birds from one coop to another this morning...yesterday I unloaded, packed and distributed 6 sacks of poultry special to various coops....delivered Weavagarden's 2 bags to her and 4 to her Mom's house, visited with my folks, watched the hawks for a while...(did they win ?) Then we drove home and decided today we will do nothing !
But, nice dinner, dessert, big pot of soup for lunch...and a shower and lots of old movies to watch...time off X date day is what we have here.
See you all tomorrow !!

Next time we have agreed to have a table, and banner so we can all come and sit and visit and coffee or ??
I have alot of what is necessary as I have spent alot of time doing art shows...

You have to make sure you arrange this and pay for the table well ahead of time with the show committee. Just an FYI, although I'm sure you knew you couldn't just show up and start setting up tables.

It was nice to meet some of you. Great show, great people, and I really hope they don't combine Monroe into the Stevenson, WA show again. If you want the shows to be separate, please contact the club and let them know.

WHAT?!

I'm all stoked and am trying to get my boys to molt ahead of time just for that one show!

Email the show committee and the club and offer to come early and help set up. I try to get to the shows early as I can, but I often have classes I can't miss (due to in class quizzes) so this semester I haven't been able to leave town before 1:30 to 2 at the earliest.

Hopefully I will have earlier classes on Friday next semester.

Sorry, I know I'm not a Washingtonian, but had to post! Cuz he's awesome!! My son named him "Phoenix", getting white Chantecler eggs in the spring from Tony Albritton to try to breed the Crele variety, I guess all the Chantecler guys were talking about him, and nobody has ever seen one...maybe he's one of a kind!??

Oh, and 5 of the 6 black bantam Ameraucanas that were there were mine.

My black cock bird won Ch. Ameraucana. Gosh, I feel like I'm gloating now, I'm going to shut up...

He is from Tim Jergens. Crele is not a recognized variety in chanteclers (only partridge and white, I think) and he randomly popped out of a line of partridge. Can you get partridge to breed him to? Maybe from Jergens so you can line breed?

It is still wrapped up in a paper towel, in my dresser drawer.
I still do not know what it is.
I wish I could send the pictures of it to the Dept of Geology at WSU or someplace that studies fossils and weird rocks...anyone know of a place like that ?

I have a friend that's a rock hound, fossil junkie, and is an active member of the North America Research Group. If you want to email me pics, I can have him look at them!

I'm going to get hatching eggs either at Monroe or Stevenson from Tony Albritton's whites. Want to try to isolate that crele gene over the recessive whites, rather than end up with a bunch of partridge.
