Me?

If so, mine are bantams although I am working on a large fowl type.

At this time, it's looking like I have THREE roosters and ONE hen. So I do not have any hens for sale.

However, I do plan on offering eggs next fall and if this other person who owes me eggs ever ships them--and they hatch, I may very well have an extra hen...

Ok, so I'm wanting some blue or black cochins to go with my remaining blue cochin girl.

This guy lives in Granite Falls and works in Everett. Not anywhere near me. Is anyone in Kitsap or even Tacoma or DT Seattle wanting cochins and willing to meet this guy? I can't drive up to Everett, and though he said he'd meet me where it's convenient for me.... I doubt I should ask anyone from Everett to drive down to Port Orchard or even DT Seattle to bring me a few chicks and I'm not exactly city driving savy. (I just took my friend to the greyhound station in Tacoma and got lost trying to get back on the freeway. Twice. Then again, she told me to skip the first ramp, which turned out to be the Portland ramp that leads to I-5 NW, so..... perhaps it's HER bad. LOL. Moral of the story: Keep Selena On The Kitsap Peninsula! )

I saw that. I'm tempted Helaine. Awfully tempted.

I'm just thinking about doing some breeding and I'm not hip on the mottled genes. I've figured out how to get blue, black, and splash from my blue hen but don't know what's up with mottles. Plus, I like how big standards are. Then again, I've never seen a bantie cochin in person. Maybe I'd like them too.

The birds in their pics sure are pretty though.
Those, and Partridge Cochins.

Thanks for thinking of me!

Selena, I work at UW and live in Tacoma. I'd be happy to be a chick relayer for you. And (ahem)... it wouldn't be the first time I'd taken chicks on the bus or in my office. It would be the THIRD. My coworkers & fellow bus riders are used to my chicken weirdness by now.

Send me a PM (not an email) if you want to arrange something. I'm also going to be in Issaquah on Friday (tomorrow) evening with a car and could meet him somewhere on the east side. Otherwise Mon-Wed of next week woudl be fine, too.

ETA: DBF is in Olympia a few days/week. He could pick up chicks there for you, too. Between all of us on here, the I-5 corridor from Olympia to N Seattle is covered!

I'll let the poster know and PM you ASAP.

BTW: I had to laugh at your chick's name... my coworkers call me "Beeker". Long story, but I embrace it. LOL

I have some black/blue cochin cross chicks. They look almost pure cochin. They are crossed with orpingtons. I also have a blue laced cochin pullet (also an orpington cross) who is showing gorgeous feathering...In addition, I will have some lemon blue cochin chicks hatching out this fall and some of them turn out blue or blue laced.
