I cannot go through all posts,
DH is leaving in the wee hours, and ODOT (Oregon dept ofTrans) says snow showers all day tomorrow. I looked earlier and the travel cams on the Siskiyous showed 2 lanes (there is only 2 lanes) of semis, bumper to bumper parked, northbound, and nothing south bound....did not look good.
Anyway tomorrow looks OK...snow and snow showers is OK to drive in, the freezing rain he encountered from Weed to Eugene and again through Portland on the trip last winter was horrible...I-5 a sheet of glass through 3 states.
Snow is OK.

So he will get home tomorrow night.
Then T is going to be here Friday when ?
We will be here, just call.
At least your hat will be here too.
May be buried in a van full of boxes....but we will find it.
My "flu" continues but I think it is the seasonal stress...yikes I hate the holidaze !!!
hide.gif

I get hit with it everytime no matter who I speak to or where I am. And the bad part is I argue back, instead of letting it go.
That starts the war and constantly defending myself.
I am currently the big bad (the word that rymes with witch) cuz I sat here all throughout the holidays and never showed up at the dinner in Puyallup cus I had to "stay here with my stupid chickens and I need to get rid of them cus life is passing me by" according to my sis.
I am tired of telling them the chickens have nothing to do with my having to stay here, I stay here cuz I have no car DUH!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so sick of chicken attacks !!!
I have 19 chickens and my entire family thinks that is tying me here to this property.
It all started when, 2 days after the dreaded Christmas dinner I asked via e-mail if everyone had a good time and I sincerely wanted to the details: was there roast or ham ? Please tell me the story...what I got back was venom, as in if you wanted to be with your family instead of staying home with you G** Da*** chickens then you should have been here but you weren't, you love those G**** birds more than us so don't come looking to talk to me about...it went on and on...viscious.
If I did have a car, (and my sis knows I gave to my daughter cuz hers got repossed and my daughter also called and b***hed me out and called me names and selfish after she just cashed the $150 Christmas gift check...and sold my car for $800 after a full engine rebuild of over $1200 and new water pump, tires were over $800, heater core, everything but paint !!) so I am selfish ??
But I swear if I still had my car I most generously rebuilt and gave to my daughter, I would have drove to Puyallup and beat up my sister just like I did when I was 11.

So sis knows she is safe for the moment and says if I wasn't such an idiot and gave my car to my whiney looser daughter than I would have been able to show up so don't come b****g at me about what we had for Chritsmas dinner....EI YEI YEI YEI !!!!
It is funny, huh ?
Then DH is at his Dad's in Northern California...and gota call from his cousins in San Diego, and his Dad's brother with bad Parkinson's disease and Aunt with TIA's (ministrokes) has flown to dan Diego for Chritsmas, wheelchair, drooling diapers and all....and during dinner a distant cousin's dog threw up on thier carpet and the man of the house married to DH's cousin said "I am gonna kill that dog if it barfs or eats one more" Bam ! The niece hit him in the head with a wine bottle and cracked his skull open, and head wounds bleed !!!
DH thinks this is hysterical, but he was in Nor Cal they were in San Diego...
So after he (the cousin's husband) got up off the floor he promptly jumped over the Christmas dinner table and grabbed the 20 year old niece and gave her a right hook to rival Mohammud Ali....Ahh! What a great Christmas !!!
ya.gif

She has a black eye, and he had to go to the ER for stitches , and the wife, DH's cousin, left in a great huff, out of her own home, screaming at all the ""Guests"" and took her sick dad and mom to the RV outside, and drove straight away from San Diego to Clear Lake in Northern California. Quite a few hours. She is FUMING ticked. I am tired of everyone venting on me. DH thinks it is all hysterical..
lau.gif
.but I get it stuck in my crop and do get snapping, and I greatly apologize to anyone I may have snapped at.
Including Illia.
DH's Dad is the older and does not drive so he is worried that the cousin is going to dump the sick brother and wife on him, and it is a 3 hour drive to the Sacramento Airport...then DH figured it out::: They were coming up to hitch a ride with him back to WA..
ep.gif
.and they live in Spokane. Oh well, they are old and have need for our help, so ??
But apparently the cousin is staying with them and returning to San Diego and dropping her parents off at the Sac airport on the way south....
th.gif

Can someone please explain to me why we as a family can get together for DAYS, weeks apart, and see each other every weekend, and camp, party, fish whatever with each other, but at Chritsmas,

I just went to the website and saw several companies I buy from on the list. I do know of one variety non GMO from Monsanto, Cheddar Broccoli, and those companies sell it. So I guess maybe only the GMO they don't sell. Wonder if there is a full list out there of all the seeds Monsanto sells. Really don't want to support that company in any way. And, why is Territorial Seeds on the list? Didn't Monsanto buy them out? They are trying to monopolize on the seeds just like the few big food companies supply all our food.

I LOVE that list from garden of eatin--how handy is that???

cowgirl--I noticed Johnny's on there twice--one is the Johnny's selected, and the other is just Johnny's.. Is there a difference?? I also googled Territorial/Monstanto--there is quite a bit of info out there and most of it worth reading....

this list is from 2008-09, but I think worth going over... http://ft2garden.powweb.com/sinfonian/?p=432

I just got both my Johnny's Selected and Territorial catalogs

I love planning the garden...

I was going to recommend Abundant Life Seeds, but I read a bit of their blurb in Bing and apparently in '07 they had a fire and lost all their seed and Territorial helped them get their stock back. Abundant Life used to be solely organic and replenished by carefully watching the crops they gathered from. This was more than a few years ago, perhaps, 20+ that I was growing their seed a LOT. I think we should all help each other. Way back in 87 I nitrogen packed wheat in the event we needed food due to a shortage. I opened a few of the buckets this year and the seed sprouts at about 95%. I feel like I may have a commodity at some point. This stuff is organic and surely not tampered with. I ran out of $$ recently so my chickens are eating this wheat. So, at the very least, I am getting my value out of the wheat. I am allergic to wheat now, but my birds seem to be delighted with it.

I think if your car is still there and the insurance co hasn't sent you a check yet it is still yours, title and registration is still in your name, to take wherever you want. Get it out of there and deal with the insurance later, somewhere where you are on even ground to make a deal to keep it. If they still want it make them come and get it.

Well, I have nothing to TRADE as I don't save seed but might be an option for next year for a few crops. I usually plant 2 consecutive crops in each bed so nothing matures enough to be able to save seed from. Purchased seeds I usually don't have extra of since I use them all. I buy seed that lasts a few years in bulk and use several years in a row till gone and purchase only the allium seeds I need for one season since they tend to lose viability after a year. Maybe can save a few lettuce seeds if the plants are at the ends of the beds out of the way. Possibly some peppers and tomatoes.
