I would be interested in your female sebastopol. I can't possibly take on any more males (I am still trying to sell an extra one) and gave away my last one for practically nothing....so depending on your price and the quality of the female and if you're willing to sell her separately, I'd be interested in the female. I'm in Okanogan.

if i can find a home for the others, i would not mind at all. I will keep you in mind.

Thanks! She'd have a great home.

Where did your stock come from? Are they smooth or curly breasted? Normal wings? Do you have photos? Thanks!

ok, one of them is smooth breasted one is curly.... i think the female is curly breasted but i would have to truck out through the snow to be sure. they are both from holderreads. they both have normal wings. i will try to get out before dark to get some pictures of them.... I do all the chores at 6am and 6pm (dark both times!!) because i have to go out to milk the cows then anyways. they are all lovely birds and i am kind of kicking myself about rehoming them, but with all of the animals we have it was time to take a serious hard look at what we have and where we want our focus to be, you know? i keep getting animals but for some reason i don't seem to be getting more hours in the day to take care of them! The milk cows and the sheep are my focus now and i can justify having egg chickens, meat chickens and turkeys.... decorative waterfowl.... maybe not so much! lol

With any luck, we should have alot of baby ducklings from her eggs hatch on the 28th of this month.
I have never hatched ducks so I am keeping my fingers crossed..I candled last night and all have something going on...and 4 maybe are questionable, so that leaves 10 I think...so if she wants to sell them or you can ask her about them ?
They are not mine to give or sell.

Okay. Mine are pretty spoiled and if I can get another female I wouldn't be in such a huge hurry to sell my extra male because then I'd have two pairs...right now, I have a reverse trio--and that won't be good for the female when the weather warms up.

My DH is going to build me another waterfowl pen this spring, just for the Sebbies (right now they are sharing with some of my 'scovies). Just PM me with the photos and what you're asking for her...and let me know if you're ready to sell her separately....I might be able to make it work.

I have to say I am pretty impressed with how resourceful and clever many of you are at putting things together and making them work. You seemed to get a proper and functional coop up with very little $$. Very nice!

You should just go for it

no one starts knowing anything we all learn along the way. I've had hundreds of projects fall apart/break/not work. when they fail I just rip apart and try again.
