Speaking of meeting up at future shows, who's coming to the Cascade Show in Monroe on March 19th? Website with info: http://washingtonfeatherfanciers.webs.com/

The
site isn't loading for me today. I know I checked it earlier this week and they said they would be updating it and to check back in Feb.

We will definently be going. We need to figure out who's going to show what amongst the girls and I.

Man oh Man, it's 53 here. I was outside working around cleaning up and putting the nursery pots in a pile and all the plants I got from a plant sale in a different pile and having some trees and shrubs planted and moved around, and Holy Guacamole! so many things are budding up! Well beyond any kind of growth that is healthy for January. I am hoping to not lose some of my plants. My deciduous Azalea is way too open. If we get another cold snap, well, gosh....

ok..so we just got done watching Inception.. anyone watched that freaky weird movie? I have my thoughts on the ending.. am curious to hear what others think--if ya seen it??

and it IS WAY TO WARM out for Jan... very confusing for sleeping green things....

Temps here are normal.

I saw Inception in theaters. I was actually really let down. I thought it was going to be a Christoper Nolan masterpiece, but, it wasn't as dream-like, freaky, or even mysterious and twisty as I was hoping.

It was long and drawn out, there wasn't enough twists or even dreamy weird things going on, and even when things like that did happen, they weren't really enough. Dreams can be pretty far from reality, your consciousness is actually really easy to fool, especially when physics are meddled with, yet they rarely ever touched that.

My dreams for one are never as, sorry to say, boring, as most of theirs. Christopher Nolan did a better job with his Batman remakes, in my opinion. Never saw Memento though.

I think the biggest let down, honestly, was that there was no unexpected twist. Everything was pretty blunt, predictable, or seen before it happened. I must admit - The whole time I was trying to think of possible twists or problems they'll run into while watching it, and I never was surprised or even ran into those neat, imagined scenarios.

I tried walking across my lawn yesterday to shovel up all the dog bombs I found when the snow melted. Took a step and my foot came clean out of the pac boot! I usually have to wrestle to get those things off! The dog bombs were another joy ... got half of them up, and hoping the bottom halves will just wash away in all this rain.

The chicken run and coop are both muddy messes, can't wait to get them into the new run, but need a coop that will fit in it. I had ordered an Omelet Cube to put in it several months ago, but I think they forgot about me. My current cube has an attached run, but the yard is too darn wet to move the coop. The wheels sink, and the birds are in the least soggy part of the yard other than the new run which is the kids old play yard .... 6 inches of bark in a 500 square foot area that I am dividing into several runs/greenhouses.

This brings up a funny thing. The neighbor went in the stables that his step daughter owns and got some "hay" to put down out by thier chickens so it wouldn't be so slippery. Well when she went out and looked it turns out that he didn't know the difference and actually put alfalfainstead of local hay. It was no real big deal just kind of funny and I am sure the chickens loved it.
