I can hear it on the metal roof pretty good though and when it rains really good it drips down the stove pipe in the living room and hisses on the stove. And it's hissing.

You can buy a trim piece to go up top to stop that water. Caulk it in.
I'd be very worried about that water going some place it shouldn't.
Wind can make water go up hill.
With no wind it can travel down beams 15 feet away from entry and people think that's where their problem is where it shows up on sheetrock.
Been doing water damage for 30 years.
It can get REAL EXPENSIVE!

You can buy a very inexpensive trim piece at HD that is adjustable to your size of pipe.

My living room has a two story sloped ceiling and the stove pipe has a square black boxish thing that goes through the ceiling to the roof. it is within the steel box that it leaks. On the outside, well, on the roof, it has a boot that looks like orangey red rubber but I know it can't be, and it doesn't look like the job was completed. I probably should have it looked at. So many cobwebs up there you'd think it would caulk the gaps.
Are you saying I should caulk it on the inside? Very hard to scale the terribly sloped metal roof.

I have to stay very far away from Larry. Larry and Fred scare me way to much.

I know that they can beat me up. It only took one beating for me to get the idea. I now duck and run.

Those little birds spend a lot of time cussing me out, or else telling me where to go.

Yes, up on top of the roof get someone you can trust who is licensed, insured to go finish the job if you bought it this way.
If you had your roof done call the people up you paid and remind them you paid them to do a complete job.
Get their butt back out there and finish the job.

Oh my gosh, those babies are so SillyDarnCute! Are they babies from the Yorkies in the doorway? And so they are resting up to practice being NastyLittle Dogs also?
And Holy Smokes, what kind of eggs those be? I'm guessing a dozen or so eggs per omelet depending on how many you're feeding

The eggs are from the finches. I have to collect them or the next thing I know is that I have 5 more birds in the cage. It rather sad but I don't know very much about finches, except for feeding them and making sure they have water. I really need to learn more about them. I do know that I don't need any more finches. I was able to give my nephew 2 of the older baby finches. i really hope that they don't breed.
