We're a southwest Seattle family with 3 girls- 1 black cochin named Luna, 1 silverlaced wyandotte named Fiona, and 1 buff orpington named Claire. We're looking to add a silkie but don't have one yet.

I have a 19 week black sex link that I think is almost ready to lay. By her behavior I think she will be my first layer. The other 2 black sex links should be close behind her. Maybe an EE soon too. I think my Brahmas and Jersey Giants will be a while yet.

More EEs coming up about 1 month younger, and Golden Comets about 6 weeks younger. In a couple months I should have lots of eggs!

Hi! I am in Hoquiam. Love to fish all around you there. Welcome from me also.....

Where do ya fish? Mayfield? Riffe? Or the Cowlitz? I am about 5 miles from the Cowlitz but due to the lay of the land I can actually hear the jet boats at times. I am actually only 1/2 mile south of Hwy 12.

I have fished at all of those places.... Although the Cowlitz was farther south. But I love to do some lazy day trout fishing at Toledo at the Lewis County Park (pond) there. That is my favorite type of fishing. I have caught some nice fish at Mayfield and Riffe(sp?) lakes too.

Are there any members here who want to meet for lunch or dinner one day soon? I plan to go to the BattleGround area to pick up soy free feed from Rainbow Farms www.rainboweggfarm.com/soy-free_feed.html

I am also hoping to find someone from along my route who may want to travel along, or be willing to help pay for part of the gas if I carry their order back with me.

I will be traveling the I-5 corridor by Longview, Centralia. And either along 12 by Oakville, or up to Olympia and then west on the way home.

Anyone want to touch base with another BYCer?

We are pacing the floor and wringing our hands The chick is trying to hatch. We have been at this since 2 pm yesterday. The chick is peeping and getting ever closer to been hatched. I will be heart broken if it is a boy. I can't have roo's here in the sub-division backyard.
This is the first chick to hatch. I think I remember some chicks hatching at the grade school almost 40 years ago. But that was 40 years ago. It's almost like being in labor myself. God forbid that all the other 15 eggs take this long to hatch.
