When I looked at this I noticed it looks like it is probably 2' wide. That brought up a question. How do people splice wire together like to make it wider. I have my choice method but curious how others do it? I use what is called J metal. They are the little J shaped strips like they use to make rabbit cages etc. There are special pliers for this (most feed stores have em). They are a very fast easy way and can be removed later if need be.

Well there are two ways that I do it. The VERY time consuming way of sewing it together with other wire, or there are clips that fit the squares, they kinda look like leg bands... These take a set of special pliers and they just squeeze tightly and hold the wire together. I have also seen people use small zip ties. That works well too, but uses alot of ties...

What swamp?
I grew up in Ketchikan, Ak. Makes Western Wa, even the Oly. Penn., look dry in comparison.

Well everything around me is flat and covered with clay so there isn't much for the water to do but lay on top.

As much as I love dry climates. I absolutely adore living in Western Washington! So long as you have a decent vehicle, and some cash for gas, there is plenty to do and see! Not to far away from anything really. If I want to see dunes, I'll drop south to Florence Or, Rain forest, well shoot I'll head northwest and go to the Olimpic penninsula. Wanna play on or in the water? Theres TONS around, just cant be a sissy about the cool water temps! lol

Did I mention I LOVE where I live???
