i think these are dogs on the lam on accident.. although my son just got done walking the neighborhood knocking on doors and no one claims them. The big wolf like one has a broken (?) cable on it's collar.. Son is not sure whether it's a rope or cable. He said it looks like the type of cable we use to lock up our quads.. and that's a tough thing to break.. the other one is a very cute lovable (son says) cattle dog type who is very friendly--that's the one that was chasing the chickens around their coops. I called both humane societies/animal control things in our area and no one has reported them missing yet. I said I would hang on to them for a bit.

I don't know about the shooting of but you can make the owners of said dog pay for any killed livestock. At least in unincorporated Pierce County. I don't know about within city limits. And that's just weird about the wildlife.

While we're (sort of) on the topic of large birds....here is one of mine from last spring (early spring and early summer). He's since matured a little more and filled out some...he's a Light Sussex and pure Greenfire stock.

Last summer, my neighbors Scotish Highland bull got out, and paid me a visit. His name is Lambert, and is the mellowest bull I have ever seen. He shut down traffic for a good 30 minutes, before he was finally caught.

He had a MUCH better ending than the steer that got loose in kingston, just up from the state ferry. Even after they had penned it in someones back yard, they shot the poor thing. Granted the steer was on its way to butcher, but still...

And thanks for the compliments on my roo. I think I might hatch out some eggs before the show...but I'm not sure...I'll have my hands full with sale birds and maybe a few I'll bring to show (but I haven't decided who yet).
