I got your PM. I will call you! My Sex link is laying HUGE eggs too. I didn't know they were supposed to lay them that big. I worry about her blowing out. But she is fine so far.

I'm just upset that I missed out on that part of the fun! The first time if that strange man hadn't been there, I was about to strip down to the undies and run them to you.

I'll be waiting for Nyrial to tell me how it goes with the hubby. I talked to my hubby and we can take on another pair also. I would rehome your two's first then my two. It can be hard to have your first ducks be sorta wild like that. It's nice doing ducklings at first.

Even if I had muddy pictures.. she knows where I live now.

QOTD: Hold on while I dump the water out of my boots.

So we get what? 3 thunderstorms a year? It's ok to be standing waist deep in water, right?

I was laughing so hard it hurt. I wish I could have been more help,in my defense, I don't think mucky pond water would have been good for the incisions. My minivan smells like pond now though

On a more serious note:
They're bedded down in the garage for the night, DH said that they ate all the food he gave them and they were bedded down in the hay and straw. As long as they don't get out and poop on my hay bales it's all good. Pics tomorrow if I make it out there after class before dark.

I am taking a shower now. I smell like mucky pond water!

Had to come home and do my chores before I could come in and take care of the stink. By the way, my boots are going to take days to dry completely! It was fun though. I am just glad they have found a good home whether it's temporary or permanent.

I loved visiting your "petting zoo". My son did too. He is now hounding me for either a dog or a pig. Which one should I choose?

None? Oh, my son told me that if the lightening hits the water I would have been fine. I really don't believe him. I think he just want me to try it again.

After seeing all of your babies, I can't wait to get more!

Both the dogs and pigs are sooooo freaking needy. I cannot believe how whiny the pigs are. The dogs certainly smell better though.

We should have a 'bator next spring if you feel the need to hatch eggs.. or if you want to go in on a hatchery order with us.

I hope you had fun with your friend though. It is fun to catch up with someone you haven't seen in so long. I think we did Ok for a couple of duck newbies.

I read " 'bator " as " gator " the first 3 times through that sentence, and wondered what kind of a zoo you were heading towards.

Once again you all make me wish I were in a more lively BYC neighborhood (literally). Only a couple of us in this area, and nobody ever wants to get together. (SIGH) Ah well

You are such good eggs. Thanks for being there for some of the abandoned little ones. I am happy that you got some of the ducks to keep for a while. Enjoy!!!

edited multiple times for freakishly bad spelling!

So, I got home from my 2 night trip to the Seattle area to see doctors last week on Thursday. I have been sick ever since with one of the horrible flues that are going around. I am finally able to get a sentence out without coughing up a lung. This is horrible. In case it hasn't been said enough out there. Get your flu shot. I was supposed to get mine at my docs..... The were out of the vaccine, but they had plenty of the real thing to go around!
